Hair color

I was waiting at the dr with Sam today, this was a short visit if you can believe that! When in came the dr and at the very same time I noticed Sam's hair color. It was getting rather dark these days. So I said "Sam, your hair is going to be the color of your daddy's". With that he replied, "I hope not, I don't want to be gray!" <\b>

Mommy giggle

Not sure if it is a real giggle, well it wasn't at the time,but it is now. Have you ever locked your keys in the house or car, thinking frantically, who can I call. Leave it to me to lock myself out of the house on a day Dan is out of the country. I tried call the one person who had a spare, no luck, no answer! It was a cold day, so I hopped into my vehicle,to think and cry of course. I called my sister, she didnt have a key, she called her hubby, nope. Then, I had an idea, I was going to shimmy under the garage door. I cleaned out my pockets so I would be as skinny as possible. I sat down on my butt feet first under the garage, good So far,then to squeeze my butt shuuuu. I made it! Oh shoot, the boobs! I had to lift up the door to get them under, but I made it!! Now to check the backdoor! Turning, yes, it opened

Alcohol giggle

Hattie was cleaning up from painting with an alcohol pad. She was holding her breath. In the middle of doing this, she stopped, grabbed a breath and asked, "is breathing alcohol as bad as drinking it?" Oh my, I had to keep my giggle to myself!

SATFR #5 Fall pumpkins!

I just finished this dress! Oh, what a cute one! I found this bolt of fabric in my sewing room. I am actually smocking pumkins on another dress that is made out of this same fabric. I love it so much I decided to make a jumper out of it!




The pumpkins are place near the hem because the are very large and I believe they would take over the chest of a child!





She could wear this all fall season, not just at Thanksgiving or Halloween! Perfect from September to the end of November! Make sure you click on the pictures for a closer look! The blouse is NOT included but the Bow IS included!!!

SATFR #4 Gingerbread girl!

I found this little scrap of fabric and decided to see how big of a jumper I could fit on it. Well, a size 2 fit just perfectly! So the next step was to find a design! I thought Christmas on the sweet burgandy check. Hummm not Santa, not a reindeer, I found it, A sweet gingerbread girl!



It took me several days to finish with all the dr appointments, and kids afterschool stuff, but, I finally finished! How excited I was with the outcome! Make sure you click on the pictures for a larger look! Blouse is NOT included.

SATFR #3

Ok, the third item in "my sew around the fabric room" project is DONE! I finally made something for me! A sweet blouse. Check it out! Click the pictures for a closer view! It has elastic on the arms and around the waist. It can be worn up, or pulled down! I can't wait to wear it tonight. If I can get pictures I will post them!,

Working on a new one!

I decided this next design would be for me. I scoured through my fabric room and found the perfect fabric and pattern. I am almost done, I can't wait to show you, so keep your eyes peeled!

SATFR #2

IT IS FINALLY DONE! The POLKA DOT FLAMINGO! I totally LOVE this dress! I know you will too! Make sure you click all the pictures to get a good look at them!

This dress is smocked on a great black and cream polka dot fabric. I have smocked the most adorable, dressed up, fanciful flamingos! Check out the close-ups!

I have also smocked the back of the dress. To finish off the look, it ties at the shoulders with pink grosgrain ribbon.(blouse is NOT included)


This dress is a size 5-8. (maybe bigger) You can start wearing it as a dress then as the child grows taller wear it with leggings, and jeans etc as a top! How cleaver! You will get MANY years out of this! $65.

Oh, almost finished!

I am almost finished with my second dress! I can't wait to show it to you! I smocked the front, now working on the back, which won't take long. Last thing to do is sewing it together, which will be quick! It is so exciting to see the pieces cooing together to make a dress! Keep your eyes out for the completed garment!

Oh, I am having a blast working on dress #2! Fabric color....black with lite cream polka dots....oh soooo sweet! Design..... Hummmmm I think I will let you guess for a while!

SATFR dress #1

Ok, here is the first dress from my "Sew around the fabric room"



Leopard printed SMOCKED dress! Oh, it was a blast to make! Make sure you check out the close-up!(click the picture) I have added a sweet beaded front! The back is smocked just like the front, just no beads. Í didn't want those sweet little ones to lean back and be uncomfortable! This is a size 2-4 or higher(she can wear it as a swing-top with jeans or leggings later!) The white blouse is NOT included. PRICE: $55.00 shipping included.

Sewing through the room

I have had a rough summer with a lot of pain. I gave up my sewing business, closing it down. I sold all the clothes at a real low price, LOTS of GREAT DEALS! I thought I would never sew again. Well, Yesterday I had the itch to smock. So I finished up an adorable dress and Oh, was I soooo excited! I couldn't wait to get started on another! So off to my fabric room to look for more fabric to work on. But oh so much fabric I have. I had a great idea hit me like a ton of bricks. Why not "SEW through my Fabric room?" Oh, how fun this is going to be! I will start at one end of the room and work my way around to the other side! I must go in order, so I have decided to go from dark to light fabrics, since the fall is coming up! If I want to smock, applique, embroider, or just sew an outfit I will! One stipulation, I can not buy any fabric unless it is lining fabric.

So my oath to you is: "I will sew around the fabric room without buying any fabric, unless it is lining fabric". I PROMISE!!!!
